Job description
The Massry Residence which is Daughters of Sarah's Assisted Living Facility, is seeking an experienced Full time Activities Director. This is a great job where you can use your creativity to support our residents!

Job Summary: The Activities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing all activities and assuring that an ongoing recreation/activities program is designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental and psychological well-being of all residents.
Your basic responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing programs that promote resident self-esteem, maximizes participation, and encompasses cultural, social, spiritual, educational/intellectual, and physical activities.
Assessing residents’ individual needs in planning and implementing the recreation programs.
Working with the Case Manager to plan programs to meet the cognitive abilities and psychosocial needs of resident groups.
Providing resident, staff and family education.
Directly performing recreation programs leading residents with individual, small, and large sized group activities.
Coordinating and scheduling activities and entertainment for residents.
Maintaining various records and reports reflecting the budget of the recreation department.
Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Transporting residents to and from activities in a safe manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
A current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
Two (2) years’ experience in social or recreational programs within the last five (5) years.
Prior experience in a recreation organization and basic medical knowledge
Associate’s degree required
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p with evening and weekend availability for occasional events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.65 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
